| 2011 Update: As we continue to grow and expand as a family, our needs and focus have changed over the years. We first began breeding after a few years of doing rescue work, and at the time when we started we didn't have children. Now, with our eldest child having Autism we have become more involved in the world of special needs, our second son just turned 1 year old and started walking, and now we are expecting our third child next spring. The division of our time and our main priorities have obviously shifted over the years. Due to this, we have made the decision to begin our phase out of breeding. Though we will always have shelties in our family and may be involved in the sheltie world in some way or another and perhaps in the breeding area again when our children our older, right now we feel it is in the best interest of our family to begin stepping back. Right now, our goal is to produce 6 more litters over the next 2 years and to finish out in 2013. This may change somewhat depending on how the next year progresses, but this is our plan of action for the time being. We have loved this experience and all aspects of it, but the most rewarding part of it has surely been the love and joy we have seen spring from the matching of a puppy to it's new family and their continued happiness. We will miss, but always cherish those blessings. Thank you. |
